A new provincial program aimed at reducing emergency room wait times will provide Leamington District Memorial Hospital with 300-thousand dollars in additional funding.

A third of the money has already been ear marked to hire a person to help admit and discharge patients smoothly. Hospital Vice President Sarah Padifeld says delays in Leamington are no longer about a lack of doctors. The two Windsor hospitals will split 2.2 million dollars in new funding.
