| Windsor no longer automotive capital of Canada | Thu Jul 29th, 2010 |
The vice-chair of the Canadian Transportation Museum says Windsor can no longer call itself the automotive capital of Canada. Mickey Mulder is commenting a day after the Windsor Transmission Plant closed it's doors for good. Mulder says the closure marks the end of an era locally and brings into focus a shift in manufacturing. He says factories don't have to locate in one spot because transportation and communication have improved to the point where it's no longer necessary. | |
