The local Catholic School Board hopes to finalize it's budget next month. The province extended the deadline for school boards to submit their budgets to the end of this month... and the Windsor Essex Catholic District School board has received a further extension to August 31st. Director Joe Berthiaume anticipates a balanced budget. Berthiaume hopes by the middle or end of September... the board will be able to call back laid off teachers. The total budget is around 200-million dollars. | |
