The an answer is no to a fish cleaning station in LaSalle. A citizen's request to install a fish cleaning station at the waterfront has been denied. Administration has cited a number of concerns. One being the town doesn't have any money in this year's budget for the facility. And after consulting with Belle River who used to have a fish cleaning station, they were informed patrons were not following the rules for usage and that it attracts several insects and birds. In addition, the town would also have to further investigate guidelines from the local Health Unit and the Ministry of Natural Resources related to municipal fish cleaning stations.
