Leamington has been given the go ahead to switch to the OPP. The Ontario Civilian Policing Commission released their findings yesterday. Other then a few conditions involving the offering of jobs to the current employees, the commission found no issues with the proposal from the OPP. Leamington Police Services Board Chair Rob Schmidt expected the ruling. The switch to OPP is expected to happen at the beginning of December.
