Local veterans and fallen soldiers who fought in the battle of Dieppe are being honoured in a special way next month. A black granite monument will be dedicated in Dieppe Park in downtown Windsor on August 19. Fundraising chair of the project -- Michael Beale says the total cost of the memorial is 200-thousand dollars. A matching monument was dedicated in Dieppe in 2006. | |
