A solution for southeast Leamington is in the works Tue Jul 27th, 2010
The chair of the Southeast Leamington stakeholder committee feels there's getting close to a solution for the troubled area. A public meeting is being planned by Leamington council to discuss a report laying out at least $35 million in necessary work to allow residents and farms to remain in the marsh areas. The report says the problem is who will pay, but Committee Chair Gerry Dimmick feels the upper levels of government will come through. The costs to turn the area into a wetland would run over $80million according to the report. The public meeting is expected to be held in early September.
Congratulations Adelle
