Chris Brown Pulled

  Published: 2009-02-10 14:37:09 Edited: 2009-02-10 16:50:57

I like to have fun with this blog, but sometimes it behooves me to get up on a soapbox once in a while.

Chris Brown has been pulled from the MIX 96.7 playlist.

Here's what happened...

Rihanna's injuries were severe -- two "huge contusions" which swelled up on both sides of her forehead.  She also suffered "a bloody lip and nose" ... the contusions "look like an MMA fighter or something, it looked like she was growing devil's horns" ... police took pictures of Rihanna's injuries and they are "horrific" ... the photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer's face -- there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody ... there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers ... Rihanna claims Brown struck her with his fists and that's what did the damage. There was no object used in the alleged attack ... Rihanna refused treatment at the scene, but before she left cops took photos.  The photos alone are "devastating proof of abuse" ... it was not Rihanna who called 911. Someone in the area heard her screams and called.

As the man my Mother raised, as a husband, and as a father trying to raise a son to be a man and a daughhter to be lady, I cannot sit idly by. How can I show my little man the proper way to treat a lady or my little girl to be a strong woman in face of a cowardly man if I show support to this person's music? I could never look any of them in them in face.

If he rerally has such a temper, he's welcome to come up here and punch me in the face, split my lip, bloody my nose, leave bite marks on my arm and my fingers, and leave two bruises on my forehead.

This incident is proof that domestic violence knows no boundries. Famous or not, if you or someone you know is in a similar situation, please contact the Hiatus House in Windsor/Esex County. They are a social service agency offering confidential intervention for families experiencing domestic violence. Call 519-252-7781 or click www.hiatushouse.com

I cannot and do not support Chris Brown. Prove me wrong Chris. Deny the charges and win your day in court.

2009 Grammy Awards

  Published: 2009-02-09 11:12:31 Edited: 2009-02-10 15:09:55

Another Grammy show has come and gone. Heres the way I saw it:

Way to go J Hud! Jennifer Hudson had great composure and had the warm and fuzzy moment of the night. Ferosh.

Crosed my fingers. I thought Whitney Houston was going to be the GONG SHOW I've become accostomed to in the last decade and a half... but she shocked me! Is this the begining of the comeback?

Jonas Bros ex's. Miley Cyrus may have called Taylor Swift her BFF, but it looked like Taylor was as impressed with Miley as the rest of us are!

That's so punk! Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters (and formerly Nirvna) playing drums for Paul McCartney was AWESOME! Macca still has it.

I still can't believe he can sing! Jamie Foxx singing never ceases to amaze me. He was the 2nd best in the group singing 4 Tops songs. Smokey still has it.

Soul man. Radiohead stole Fleetwood Mac's idea with the marching band, but totally made it there own. Kudos to the coolest band of our generation. And when did Thon Yorke start moving on stage - - let alone dancing up a storm? I smell Dancing With The Stars!

You've GOT to be kidding me. Who's idea was it to pair the Jonas Bros. with Stevie Wonder? I was embarrased for him. Someone should be fired for that.

Thanks for the good laugh. M.I.A. gets props for performing on the night she was due to deliver her baby - but FAILS in the costume dept. F-.

Which sensitive British alt band do I love again? Did Gwentyth wink at Chris Martin when she introduced Radiohead?

Lame. Blink 182 announced their impending reunion. WHO CARES?

Chutzpah! Neil Diamond is the balls! Loved the jacket, and LOVED the way he swung the lyrics. He PWNED Sweet Caroline! Buh, bu, buh!!!!

Keepin up with the KING. John Mayer and Keith Urban held their own with BB King on the Bo Diddly tribute. Brilliant guitar playing all around.

Adele Surprised me.

Kanye West did not.

Robert Plant summed up the whole event brilliantly when he said "Man... this town has changed since I first landed in it 40 years ago...". He and Allison Kraus stole the show, and taught all kids, the posseurs and fronters how to do it.

Poor kid!!

This is a good reason why dad's shouldn't be allowed to be "in charge of stuff"! On the other hand, I'm thinking of switching dentists - cause it does look kinda fun!!
