Police have released the name of the man killed in crash on County Road 8 earlier today. 82-year old Joseph Bastien of Amherstburg was driving on County Road 8 between Howard Avenue and Walker Road when he was involved in the crash. | OPP Dive Team Searching for Windsor Woman | Fri Jul 30th, 2010 |
The OPP dive team is in the Detroit River this afternoon searching for a missing 20-year old Windsor woman who's presumed drowned. Police still haven't released the woman's name pending notification of next of kin. According to officials they were having a hard time tracking down her parents. A young boy is recovering in hospital after being run over by a tractor. Police were called to a farm on Countryview Line around 8:30 last night after a man accidentally backed over his three-year old son. The boy was taken to hospital in Chatham and then air-lifted to London as a precaution. Police say the boy's injuries appear to be non-life threatening... Click here for full story.. | |

Ontario grains and oilseeds farmers are getting a one year extension on their Risk Management Program. Agriculture Minister Carol Mitchell announced today that the program is being extended to cover the 2010 crop year. The tourism information center on Huron Church Road is staying open until the end of September. The center was expected to close August 1st and relocate to the new service station on the 401 near Tilbury.
